Our Facilities

Ross Valley Nursery School’s thoughtfully designed facility reflects the school’s philosophy of emphasizing self-esteem, dramatic play, creative expression, intellectual development, group relationships, and growth of physical abilities.

The interior features stimulating and interesting elements for preschool-age children, including an art room, a blocks room, a library area, a piano, and plenty of spaces for pretend play.

Outside there is a partially covered play space so that children can play outside most days of the year. The outdoor space includes a climbing structure, an extensive sand area with a waterfall, sinks for water play, a fleet of tricycles, a see-saw, a tire swing, and both grassy and soft-paved areas.

Facilities upgrades:

  • New windows were installed in Summer 2019 so we will be able to keep them open in accordance with new CDC and licensing recommendations.

  • New furnace, hot water heater and AC unit were installed in July 2021. New furnace includes Merv 13 standard filtration, as well as a GPS Ion Filtration System for an added layer of air scrubbing of dust, ash and virus particles. Additionally, we will have two counter Dyson air purifiers in class and three new interior ceiling fans installed to increase air purification and circulation.

  • Our maintenance contract with United Mechanical has been updated from annual to semi-annual and includes recommended Covid procedures including disinfecting of inner coils and upgrading of necessary filters of the HVAC system.
