Our play-based approach to early childhood education emphasizes social and emotional development, dramatic play, creative expression, intellectual development, group relationships, and growth of physical abilities. Under the trained guidance of our exceptional teachers, children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and explore at their own pace.

You can also download the application online. Children must be two years and eight months by September 1st in the year of entry in order to start at Ross Valley Nursery School’s preschool program.

Introducing Your Child to the Concept of Print

One question that parents of preschoolers often ask is, “How can I help my child to be “reading ready”? In a previous newsletter, we explored the connection between rhyming and learning to read. Rhyming is a fun way to develop phonemic awareness (awareness of the sounds that make up language).
